last blog of 2007
December 31, 2007
so it was a relatively productive year, with me, a few highlights in reverse order:
-filmed a pilot for a super mega secret new tv show, so secret only myself and a few key players know their roles--started filming gravityland (go to www.gravityland.com for details)--played some awesome gigs with TUNEBUGGY and got a stellar review in the wire, a local newszine (go to www.tunebuggy.net for the lynx)--decided to bag the idea of a tv show about myself and focus on my radio show fridays from 10 am until noon and you can stream it live, at that time at www.wscafm.org --recording a bunch of music to get ready for the new TUNEBUGGY album as well as my on solo stuff, went to some parties, relaxed a bunch, took some naps, started playing the drums, enlightened myself and others, sparked inspiration in the musical hearts of families all over new england, made some new friends, lost some old ones :( , became kind of clearer in the head about who i am and what it is i am meant to do with my time here on the planet, hugged some people, kissed some people, gave a ton of high fives (they're free y'know?) --rearranged my apt., cleaned very...

"Uncle Phil Music Show" music for families is now on the schedule fridays 10am-noon on 106.1 fm wsca portsmouth
you can "listen live" on the site www.wscafm.org (the listen live button is at the top left of the site menu and then choose your preferred player)
also TUNEBUGGY rocked at the stone church on saturday the first of december below follows the write up in the wire:

kids rock in Newmarket The scene at The Stone Church on Saturday morning wasn’t what you’d typically imagine. Instead of pints of Geary’s on the bar, there were juice boxes. Instead of the hum of adults chatting over cocktails, there was the sound of children laughing. And, instead of casually-dressed college students twirling around in front of the stage, kids in balloon hats danced and rolled around on the carpet. Those were the sights and sounds of the first installment of the Newmarket club’s monthly Saturday Kid’s Show. This month’s show featured local kids’ rock band Tune Buggy. Each month, The Stone... |

show #2 in the bank
November 16, 2007
...so today on the radio i hosted show #2 of the uncle phil music show for families on wsca fm 106.1 portsmouth community radio www.wscafm.org ...it was good and i will probably post the entire list of songs that i have played on a monthly basis so that you cool parents can turn your kids into real music fans instead of them listening to the drivel that you hate to hear over and over again...the mission statement of the show is simple: good music for good people and their kids...hopefully friday 10am-noon will be my regular spot...
kinda hungry and gonna eat soon...maybe take a nap...be well and stay tuned

oh well...still plugging away
November 12, 2007
so i dont think i got the movie part of the sculptor, as i havent gotten a callback...oh well, more room in the industry for those who actually bank on acting for a living...i can act, just not needing someone else approval for the antics in my life, you know?
my friend, john harper, is now a father and that is awesome! his daughter was born saturday morning around 3a.m. and her name is Lila Grace Harper, and she came out at 7pounds 11ounces...i held her on saturday afternoon and she was teeny tiny...just another woman in johns life for him to be devoted to...we chatted about it and he thinks that this new baby in his life will push him to be more focussed...yay john!
on a weird note, after i went and saw my best friends baby, i went to a dinner party where i got the surprise of my life...i walked in and there was a girl from sandy island!...i dont know if you can understand the randomness of that, but this party was not a sandy island party and i am probably not describing it as weird as it is but trust me, it was weird......

big news
November 5, 2007
today i auditioned for a big budget hollywood film called "The Lonely Maiden"...i think i nailed the audition not faultering during the impromptu improv, and acting the artiste for the part of the sculptor, which if cast would be acting opposite william h.macy...could be a big step in the career of me...
hope you are well and i love you all

today on the radio
November 2, 2007
yes that is correct!
i debuted on wsca fm 106.1 fm and had a blast hosting the uncle phil radio hour from 10am-noon (kligirony), the whole aim of the show is to harken back to days of yore where the entire family would sit around the radio (or nowadays computer) and listen to their favorite radio heroes. i just want to provide quality radio for families and give 'em a fighting chance against the mighty capitalistic machine of commerce and also show parents that it is cool to play your kids music that you grew up with. totally got all choked up when i played free to be you and me, cause i totally flashed back to when i heard it for the first time as a kid ...now, i am not trying to save the universe, maybe just a tiny slice up here in the shire of the new hamp...
i dont know if that is going to be my regular timeslot, but it totally works for my schedule, so if you missed it, email wsca from their wite www.wscafm.org it might be archived, but i am going to try to edit down a small slice for the youtube, or my...

trying to dispell the rumors...
October 29, 2007
...according to newton studios, piano john was written off the uncle phil show (see below quote from newton studios blog dated 10/24/07)
"unfortunately; i’ve just been written off the uncle phil show, which is no more. apparently yours truly looks too much like a {expletive deleted}... (the producers at www.newtonstudios.com said that i was sexy, “but just too sexy.”) phil has rehatched his latest television misphire as a launching pad for the tune buggy spaceship, bound to be landing at a NH cafeteria near you. announcements for a future tune buggy video are in the works. stay tuned!"
...the real truth is that i have been rethinking everything, and trying to play only one hand at a time and it seems as if i have been given same suit face cards named jen and sarah, who play bass and guitar in the TUNEBUGGY act with me, which doesnt include jmharper soley for the reason that he cant make band practices up here in the shire of the new hamp...
also on a separate note, GRAVITYLAND will be shooting this winter to be released on the world in the spring 2008...check out the website www.gravityland.com
